Bellagio Fountains
Bellagio Fountains

Not all shows in dazzling Las Vegas involve humans, reservations and crowded theaters. Indeed, one of the most spectacular performances in this city is the dancing water display at the Bellagio. Repeated regularly at intervals throughout the day and night, the changing array at the Bellagio Fountains captivates all onlookers with routines that are intricately choreographed to a playlist of 30 different melodies. Music ranges from the likes of Elvis and the Beatles to Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, and now a show created by DJ superstar Tiësto. Situated on the 8.5-acre lake adjacent to Las Vegas Boulevard, the Fountains play to standing room only audiences, sending water sprays upward to a distance that sometimes reaches 460 feet in the air. Colored lights add to the drama, and the undulating spray dances in time to the music. Viewers also are sometimes moved to dance or sing along. More commonly, people just watched transfixed as 1,214 water jets move to the rhythm. The best part? It's all free to watch, and there's no limit on the number of shows you can enjoy! The routines are scheduled beginning at 11 a.m. on Sundays and at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday; typically every 30 minutes during daylight hours, and then every quarter hour beginning from either 7 or 8 p.m. until midnight. It's not-to-be-missed entertainment.
